Carrie Furnace Project Wins at CREATE Awards

321Blink’s Carrie Furnace Preservation Project video has been awarded The Creative Industry Network’s Top Communication Projects of the Year Award.

Updated June 25, 2018.

The Carrie Blast Furnace recently underwent a significant preservation project when The Rivers of Steel Heritage Corporation needed to safely remove 75 feet of hot stove vent stack at the Carrie Blast Furnace. 321Blink’s video production team was there to capture the project from start to finish.

“This was one of those projects where you knew it would be special from day one. I remember the sense of awe that set in on the first location scout. Knowing that we were going to be given access to such a historic landmark,” commented Zakk Heaps, VP of Creative Services at 321Blink.

During the summer of 2017, interactive consultant Herrington & Company reached out to 321Blink for wholly unique video production support for their long-time client Songer Services, an industrial contractor based in Washington, PA. Throughout production and the entire editorial process, 321Blink and Herrington collaborated on editorial supervision, voice casting, graphic development, music selection – all the special seasoning a unique video needs to stand out. Our end result was a compelling long-form and teaser video story for the Songer project that Herrington and Company was able to deploy and market quite successfully as a dynamic landing page and storytelling device for an industrial contractor truly on the rise.

The winner of The Creative Industry Network’s Top Communication Projects of the Year was announced at a special event on Thursday, June 7th at the August Wilson Center.  We were honored to be recognized for such a unique project!
