A County Waiting to be Explored
Look around Centre County and you’ll see lots of farms and fields, farmers markets, horses grazing in pastures and beautiful farmland framed by the long ridge lines of the Alleghenies. You’ll also find towns where family-style restaurants serve home cooked meals, and breweries, wineries and distilleries work to perfect their craft. Together, there’s a synergy between the two certainly, yet few visitors to this region make that connection and consider the possibility of both for tourism.
To help expand tourism opportunities for visitors to the county, our team was charged with creating a messaging platform that could unite these attractions and inform visitors of all that can explored
We developed a campaign that was inclusive of everyone – inviting visitors to shop the local farmer’s markets, enjoy a horseback ride, pick fresh berries from the fields, tour a working farm, winery or distillery, sit down to a meal made with local ingredients and an-age old family recipe. This is called it AgriTourism and we set out to introduce visitors to Centre County and show them all that happens here – just waiting to be explored.
Messaging was developed for a new website, television & video, radio, digital, social, print and outdoor. Our clients at the Chamber of Business and Industry of Centre County and the Happy Valley Adventure Bureau have reported a steady increase in agricultural-related tourism since the start of our campaign in the fall of 2019.
