ASPINWALL’S EARTH DAY
Since 1970, Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 every year and is recognized in more than 193 countries.
This year will mark the 13th year of the Aspinwall Green Streets local Earth Day efforts. Aspinwall’s Earth Day will take place the Saturday closest to Earth Day, April 21st from 10am until noon. Join us to pick-up trash throughout the neighborhood, enjoy each other’s company, and take the opportunity to show future generations the importance of being good stewards to the planet.
Aspinwall Green Streets falls under the mission and oversight of Aspinwall Neighborhood Watch, which organizes a variety of neighborhood efforts including National Night Out, Drug Take Back Day, and Soup Delivery to name just a few. Everyone is welcome, young and old. We will gather in front of the Aspinwall Borough Building at 10am on Saturday, April 21st where volunteers will be given gloves, garbage bags, safety vests, and some free snacks and water.
Please make the effort to join your fellow neighbors to help keep Aspinwall beautiful and a model community.
